Terms of service.

Orders

  • Orders are posted via Royal Mail either 24 or 48-hour tracked.

  • Jar candles will usually be dispatched on the day after the order is received but may be dispatched up to 5 working days after the order is placed.

  • The handmade home accessories will be dispatched up to 7 days after the order is received to allow the item(s) to harden, be sanded, sealed and polished.

  • You will receive a shipping notification when your order is on its way along with a tracking number so that you can follow its journey.

  • If you need your order by a specific date, please email scentlab@scentshed.co.uk before placing your order to ensure this is possible

  • If you have not received your order within 30 days of placing it, please email scentlab@scentshed.co.uk

  • The Scent Shed is not responsible for any postage delays once your item(s) has/have been received by Royal Mail

About Jesmonite

  • Every Jesmonite piece is a unique creation and is characterised by bubbles on both the surface and on the base

  • Variations in colour and texture will occur due to the man-made process and should not be considered as faults but as features of the artisanal nature of each item.

  • Jesmonite candle vessels will stain over time from soot. Wiping with a damp cloth will partially remove any marks ensuring your pieces remain aesthetically pleasing.

By purchasing our product(s), you acknowledge and accept these unique characteristics as part of the handmade nature of our Jesmonite pieces and hand-poured refillable candles.

Refunds & Exchanges

  • If you would like a refund or an exchange, please return your unused candle in its original undamaged packaging within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

  • Rescue Candles cannot be returned or exchanged

  • SALE Candles cannot be returned or exchanged

  • Diffuser oil blends/refills cannot be returned or exchanged

  • Candle Club scents cannot be returned or exchanged

  • Handmade candle vessels cannot be returned or exchanged for an alternative scent

  • The buyer is responsible for all postage costs

  • Please ensure the returned product(s) is well protected and packaged as refunds or exchanged cannot be offered on damaged/broken returns

  • The buyer is responsible for the returned item(s) until its arrival at The Scent Shed so it is recommended that a tracked service is used

  • Please notify The Scent Shed BEFORE returning any item by emailing scentlab@scentshed.co.uk

  • If your item was a gift, the buyer must contact The Scent Shed before any refund or exchange can be processed

  • Once your returned item has been received and checked, you will receive your refund/exchange

  • Exchange postage must be paid for before returning the candle for exchange

  • Before requesting an exchange, please check that your chosen replacement candle is in stock

  • Candles can only be exchanged for candles of the same size

Local Collection

  • Please arrive at your chosen time to collect your order

  • If a “local collection” order is not collected within 2 weeks of the order date, your be refunded the cost of your order minus a processing fee of £5

  • All orders must be placed via the website

  • Cash payment on collection is no longer accepted

  • Handmade items will not be created until payment has cleared

Damaged Goods

  • If your product(s) arrive damaged in any way, please contact scentlab@scentshed.co.uk as soon as possible, including any photos of the damaged item'(s)
